Wood Valley Swim and Racquet Club is located in Northwest Raleigh close to Durham, Brier Creek, and RTP.
Members get access to all our facilities and activities. We offer a 6 lane saltwater swimming pool with diving well and baby pool. Additionally, we have four tennis courts, enclosed basketball court and playground. The Clubhouse has an interior meeting space with kitchen. The Club offers a variety of sports for youth and adults.
Wood Valley Swim and Racquet Club is entirely run by a Volunteer Board. We are highly community focused and offer a variety of community activities year round.
Membership is open to all local residents and is not exclusive to the Wood Valley neighborhood!
Wood Valley Swim and Racquet Club was established in 1980. From the beginning, it has been a club of great traditions carried on by its members.
In the early years, the end of summer season was celebrated with a true pig pickin’. Over the years this has evolved into different varieties such as catered food with potluck or bbq themed food truck.
In the early 2000’s we started our Friday Family Fun Nights with groups of members cooking out together mixed in with some vendors that served in the clubhouse. In recent years, this has evolved into weekly food trucks and fun themed family friendly events.
We have a big 4th of July celebration every year where we clear off the deck to allow members to set up their shelters, with a full day of games and competitions, topped off with an evening fireworks event.
