Wood Valley is a friendly, family-oriented community in Northwest Raleigh just outside the city limits and the Outer Loop. Located just 2 miles from the Leesville exit off Rt. 540, there is convenient access to Research Triangle Park, the RDU airport, restaurants, and shopping at Crabtree Valley Mall and Triangle Town Center Mall.
The Wood Valley Swim and Racquet Club is a social hub of the neighborhood offering recreational and social activities for the whole family. The clubhouse was rebuilt in 2001, and the clubhouse and/or pool may be rented for your function. The 4 lighted tennis courts were resurfaced in 2007, and are available for play year-round with several active adult tennis leagues.
The Wood Valley Swim & Racquet Club provides recreational activities for members, including tennis, swimming in season (May - September), basketball, and adult morning lap swim. There are many sponsored social activities as well. The popular School’s Out or Back to School Youth Parties with DJ, swimming and pizza, Battle of the Bands, Friday Night Family nights during the summer, wine tasting, Youth Talent Show, Pig Pickin’, and of course the Wood Valley 4th of July Spectactular are fun family activities for club members. Members are both from within Wood Valley as well as the surrounding neighborhoods, and annual memberships are available as well.
